New Year’s Resolutions

With the new year coming up, I’m sure everyone is starting to brainstorm a list of resolutions.

One thing that I’ve always wanted to do (and always found an excuse NOT to do) is reading the Bible in a year. I think right around the end of February every year, something just clicks and all my resolutions fall apart. :/ But hey, that won’t stop me from trying yet again! This time, I decided to not wait till January 1st to start. Why is that when we know we need to change something in our lives, we set some FUTURE date when we will get serious about changing it? Why not now? I don’t want to wait weeks before diving in and changing parts of me that so badly need to be gone and improved!

So yesterday marked Day 1 of my plan. I am so excited, that I wanted to share with you the plan I’m using. It’s 10 chapters a day, which at first seems a bit overwhelming, but if I can do it, BELIEVE me anyone can! The key with this plan is to speed through the chapters, not stopping to “study” the text. As my brother puts it, “every believer needs to have a season in their life where they just read through the entire Bible without stopping to study it in depth.” I think that season has come for me. How exciting to be able to get the whole picture of God’s Word, to read both the Old and New testaments and just see them intertwine together so beautifully!

This is the plan that I’m using in case anyone wants to give it a try. 🙂

Merry Christmas and have a happy and blessed New Year!
